Mairi Mackay instructs the following:
  • Strength
  • Build strength and lean muscle with 30mins of targeted resistance training. Using a combination of dumbells, barbells, TRX and cables to ensure you can keep up with the demands of busy lives.

Resistance training is recommended for all women, at least twice weekly to maintain muscle mass, metabolism and bone density.

  • Cardio
  • High Intensity Interval Training - scientifically proven to be the fastest way to increase fitness. Alternating short intervals of high intensity cardio & recovery allows you to work harder and is more effective than 'steady state cardio' (long, low-intensity workouts). Just 30 minutes is all that's needed - work smarter, not longer!
