Amy Farcich (Physio: 6583783K)

Physiotherapist
Clinical Pilates Instructor

Amy will help you find your best quality of life, through specific exercise rehab and clinical expertise.

She can help with your:

  • pelvic floor dysfunction - including incontinence, pregnancy and postnatal rehab
  • prolapse - including pessary fittings
  • pelvic pain
  • musculoskeletal pain - necks and back, hips, knees and shoulders
Amy's career in health began as a Personal Trainer before studying physio and going on to work across hospitals, aged care and with people with neurological conditions in the community. Her passion now focuses on pelvic health, where she has undergone advanced training, including the WHTA POP-SUI course, adding pessary fittings to her skill set.

When she's not at Mint, you'll find Amy at the gym, in a pilates studio, or enjoying life with her young family!

Education: BSc Physio.

Amy Farcich (Physio: 6583783K) instructs the following:
  • Cardio
  • High Intensity Interval Training - scientifically proven to be the fastest way to increase fitness. Alternating short intervals of high intensity cardio & recovery allows you to work harder and is more effective than 'steady state cardio' (long, low-intensity workouts). Just 30 minutes is all that's needed - work smarter, not longer!

  • Strength
  • Build strength and lean muscle with 30mins of targeted resistance training. Using a combination of dumbells, barbells, TRX and cables to ensure you can keep up with the demands of busy lives.

Resistance training is recommended for all women, at least twice weekly to maintain muscle mass, metabolism and bone density.

  • Cardio (Baby)*
  • One for the Mint Mums! You can bring your Bub from 6wk-9mths (or until they start moving around!). This is a pelvic floor friendly friendly version of our popular Cardio sessions! 30 min High Intensity Interval Training to improve fitness, boost metabolism and mental health.

We highly recommend a postnatal assessment with our Physiotherapists to assess your 'core' muscles first. Studio Sessions are not pelvic floor rehab sessions - rather they are exercise sessions which are pelvic floor friendly. This is the safest way to return to exercise, and can be attended whether you are undergoing pelvic floor rehab or not.

And Bub gets to come along and play right along side, whilst you work out - so you don't need to organise a sitter!
